You can now download the source under the Downloads section.

It has been released under the GNU General Public License (the license file is included with the source).

It is currently in a Visual Studio 2005 project using C#.Net. If you need anything, please e-mail and let me know.

New Update! TadsBits Software is going OPEN SOURCE!

Sorry for the lack of updates. Life takes its toll.

I am gathering / documenting the source files, and putting license information with / in them. I am going to release this for open source so that it can be updated and enhanced by the mass of Documentum programmers out there. The only stipulation is that the code can not be sold in a package (without working it out with me first).

The new version of has been delayed. I am now updating the program for Documentum 6.5. If you know of any bugs, please e-mail me at theodore@tadsbits.com. I will try to get the fixes in the new version that is getting ready to come out.

Get any bug reports in quickly. I should have the new version by 2009-05-01. I would like to have all bugs fixed if possible.

There was a bug in reporting missing repeating attributes. (It worked OK if there were none missing, but if there was one missing, it gave you the name of a single attribute).

Load everything in a folder structure into Documentum!
You can now load an entire folder structure into Documentum keeping the creation date of the object as well as the modify date (if you are loading as a sysadmin).

Sorry, but this one is not free. The site where I was selling it from has gone down.

I am going to add some information and screen shots of how it works (possibly a video) here shortly.

Currently, TadsBits is free. It may not always be free. When it is not free anymore, please remember that I have put a lot of time into this program and the hosting is an expense I have been paying for all of it for everyone. For those who have donated to TadsBits, I will never forget that, and will take special care of you when TadsBits is no longer free.

Don't worry though, TadsBits is not going to go away.

Free Simple Port Tester no available in downloads section. - Thursday, March 06, 2008

I created a port tester for your use. I used it between two servers to make sure the Documentum ports were open. I decided to add it to my site. You can find it in the Downloads section.

A new step for TadsBits! - Saturday, March 01, 2008

I have now created an installation package for TadsBits! This means you no longer have to download the program, DLL and user guide. It now installs and creates a program menu entry. It also puts the DLL where it is needed. Let me know what you think.

Whats new in this version:
1. It should properly read your Docbase version now.
2. Groups with a large amount of users can now be dumped (I have tested 110000).
3. Fixed a bug with the SQL date conversion.

Test dumping users with a large amount.

Older versions - Thursday, February 21, 2008

I just updated the code to allow group dumps from Docbases at least as far back as 4.2 (I can't get documentation for older versions than that). If there is anything that I doesn't work on older versions, please let me know. I don't have access to a 4.2 Docbase, so your testing will be a big help!

I have been changing the program a lot recently (due to user feedback).

The latest version fixes an assumption I made:
I assumed that the Database Owner would be the same as the Docbase name. This is not always true. Version 2008-02-21 fixes that assumption.
