TadsBits Software is for sale!
I would like to create other programs (both for Documentum and for other products). One thing that I will be making shortly are some web parts for Sharepoint that connect you to Documentum. These will be FREE as well. (I have had bad experiances with the ones you pay for). If you are interrested in purchasing the source code (with exclusive rights) for TadsBits, please contact me via e-mail.

As a bonus, you will receive the source code for the Folder Import Tool that I was selling through Component Monster.

I will put TadsBits on eBay in the next couple of days, unless someone offers an acceptable price.

The new version of has been delayed. I am now updating the program for Documentum 6.5. If you know of any bugs, please e-mail me at theodore@tadsbits.com. I will try to get the fixes in the new version that is getting ready to come out.

Get any bug reports in quickly. I should have the new version by 2009-05-01. I would like to have all bugs fixed if possible.

Changes:
There was a bug in reporting missing repeating attributes. (It worked OK if there were none missing, but if there was one missing, it gave you the name of a single attribute).

Please checkout my new program
Load everything in a folder structure into Documentum!
You can now load an entire folder structure into Documentum keeping the creation date of the object as well as the modify date (if you are loading as a sysadmin).

Sorry, but this one is not free. The site where I was selling it from has gone down.

I am going to add some information and screen shots of how it works (possibly a video) here shortly.

Currently, TadsBits is free. It may not always be free. When it is not free anymore, please remember that I have put a lot of time into this program and the hosting is an expense I have been paying for all of it for everyone. For those who have donated to TadsBits, I will never forget that, and will take special care of you when TadsBits is no longer free.

Don't worry though, TadsBits is not going to go away.

Free Simple Port Tester no available in downloads section. - Thursday, March 06, 2008

I created a port tester for your use. I used it between two servers to make sure the Documentum ports were open. I decided to add it to my site. You can find it in the Downloads section.

A new step for TadsBits! - Saturday, March 01, 2008

I have now created an installation package for TadsBits! This means you no longer have to download the program, DLL and user guide. It now installs and creates a program menu entry. It also puts the DLL where it is needed. Let me know what you think.

New Version is now available (with some fixes) - Wednesday, February 27, 2008

Whats new in this version:
1. It should properly read your Docbase version now.
2. Groups with a large amount of users can now be dumped (I have tested 110000).
3. Fixed a bug with the SQL date conversion.

Immediate ToDo List:
Test dumping users with a large amount.
Work on Virtual Documents

Older versions - Thursday, February 21, 2008

I just updated the code to allow group dumps from Docbases at least as far back as 4.2 (I can't get documentation for older versions than that). If there is anything that I doesn't work on older versions, please let me know. I don't have access to a 4.2 Docbase, so your testing will be a big help!

I have been changing the program a lot recently (due to user feedback).

The latest version fixes an assumption I made:
I assumed that the Database Owner would be the same as the Docbase name. This is not always true. Version 2008-02-21 fixes that assumption.

I fixed a bug (I didn't expect single ticks in group names). You can find the new version in the downloads section.
